Sportgate International is an established events rights holder and consultant to world-class venues, luxury brands, companies, tourism boards and rights holder’s requiring event management and sponsorship delivery expertise.
As owners of Chestertons Polo in the Park London, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic salesperson to join our tight-knit team. Working under the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for driving awareness and interest in the world’s biggest 3-day Polo and Lifestyle Festival.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Promoting the world’s biggest 3-day Polo and Lifestyle Festival to increase ticket and hospitality sales to consumers and corporates.
• Contacting data provided to understand customer needs and requirements.
• Proactively reaching new data to open new business and hitting agreed internal targets.
• Contact 30+ people a day and action the outcome of the calls (etc. logging on CRM).
• Booking meetings for the sales team to attend.
• Supporting the management of our CRM system and database.
• Consistently turning up every day and going home knowing you’ll have contributed to the team…and enjoyed it.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• A positive attitude and a desire to develop a sales skill set.
• An open-minded approach to support the team in various tasks.
• A desire to gain exposure to all aspects of the event industry.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Competent and confident using Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word.
• A structured mindset and ability to take instruction, action it and report back in a timely manner.
• Good communication skills and comfortable talking to clients at varying levels of seniority.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Sales experience in proactive outbound role.
- Previous experience in event hospitality or bars/pubs/restaurants.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role.
