Job Description
We\’re seeking a proactive and analytical Business Intelligence Manager to join our team at SPORTFIVE UK. You\’ll be a key player in driving our sales strategy by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. This role requires a natural curiosity for data and a talent for supporting our sales efforts by providing compelling insights and creating considered target lists for key projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the exciting world of our UK Sales division; SPORTFIVE’s specialist, international sales unit for rightsholders, sporting stars and brands. Our clients include the Premier League, English Football League, Men’s & Women’s National League, NBA, NFL, F1, INEOS Grenadiers, Manchester United and a host of other Premier League and EFL Championship teams and international sporting talent.
Responsibilities
- Help develop sales narratives using insightful data for a wide range of sports and assets.
- Visualise varied types of data effectively into presentations and other sales assets.
- Maintain Premier League and EFL viewership calculator models, with the extraction and analysis of audience data
- Build ROI projections for perimeter advertising proposals
- Use of insight platforms (e.g. GWI) to deliver impactful consumer insights in line with a prospect’s target audience
- Create data-led prospect lists for major sales projects.
- Identify trends within the sports industry and wider business world to best inform our sales strategy.
- Assist in the development of sponsorship asset evaluation tools.
Requirements
- Degree educated with experience in a relevant data-driven insights role, with experience in a similar industry / organisation an advantage.
- A strong understanding of the commercial side of sport and how it can be powerful for a wide range of brands.
- An affinity for numbers and a natural curiosity in working with data.
- Comfortable with analysing data and spotting trends.
- Ability to generate and present insight in meaningful tables, graphs, and charts.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
- High level of attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and outside usual comfort zone.
- An appetite to learn and a willingness to be challenged.
- Have a high degree of competency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite including advanced Excel skills. Experience using data visualisation tools would be beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, whilst collaborating effectively with the wider SIS and sales team.
- Experience of Salesforce is a plus.
