Network Co-ordinator Home Based (in or around the Lancaster area) About Us Sported is a leading charity supporting the UK’s largest network of sport and physical activity groups. We exist to provide the skills, resources, and funding needed for these groups to become sustainable and deliver essential services to young people and their communities. In an era of growing challenges, from poverty and crime to mental health struggles and youth unemployment, community sports groups provide vital opportunities for young people to thrive against the odds. We are now looking for a Network Co-ordinator to join us for a five-year fixed-term contract with the possibility to extend. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week over three days. The Role As a Network Co-ordinator, you will support community sports groups in rural areas of the Abbeystead Estate in Lancaster, focusing on building relationships and facilitating collaborative networks. Specifically, youll work to address the challenges of rural deprivation, helping groups create opportunities for young people to become physically active. You will also help establish sustainable solutions that benefit the area and its people beyond the five years of the project. Additionally, you will: – Work with our insight team to deliver data-based insight – Collaborate with the Delivery Team to share best practices – Maintain accurate project administration, including evaluations About You To be considered as a Network Co-ordinator, you will need: – Experience executing clear strategies for engagement, recruitment, and support – Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Knowledge of capacity building practices, such as fundraising and organisational development – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Other organisations may call this role Community Engagement Co-ordinator, Programme Development Officer, Community Liaison Officer, Rural Development Officer, Sports Community Officer, or Charity Support Co-ordinator.
