We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in close partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and communities to ensure the tournament is delivered to world-class standards.
About UEFA EURO 2028
The UEFA European Championship is one of the world’s biggest sporting events. In 2028, it will take place across the UK & Ireland, bringing significant operational scale and requiring close coordination between host cities, stadiums, government partners and UEFA.
The role
The Impact & Sustainability team sits at the heart of how UEFA EURO 2028 creates lasting social value and delivers meaningful environmental sustainability outcomes. As Impact & Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the team. You’ll provide high-quality coordination and administrative support that helps turn strategy into action — ensuring work is planned, communicated and delivered effectively across a wide range of partners and stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, collaboration and supporting purpose-led work in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
What will you be doing?
- Coordinating meetings, diaries, travel and logistics.
- Maintaining accurate records, shared drives and documentation in line with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Preparing and formatting reports, presentations and briefing materials for internal and external audiences.
- Supporting procurement and budget tracking, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Acting as a first point of contact for queries relating to the Impact & Sustainability team.
- Supporting the organisation of workshops, events and community engagement sessions.
- Assisting with data collection and reporting against sustainability and social impact measures.
- Taking minutes, tracking actions and helping ensure follow-up is completed.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of administrative and coordination processes.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and collaborative, with a genuine interest in social impact and sustainability. You’ll bring:
- Experience in an administrative or coordination role.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience supporting meetings, events or projects.
- An understanding of the importance of accuracy, confidentiality and good data handling.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience supporting sustainability, social impact, community or CSR-related work.
- Familiarity with basic project coordination or reporting processes.
- Experience supporting budget or procurement processes.
Values & behaviours
- Embrace the opportunity: Seeks out opportunities to improve work practices. Demonstrates flexibility and a can-do attitude. Delivers tasks on time and to a high standard. Acts on feedback to improve work and results.
- Thrive together: Collaborates across teams and welcomes diverse input. Communicates clearly and respectfully.
Why apply?
We offer a competitive salary (plus benefits of 25 days holiday, contributory pension, Private Medical Insurance etc), which coupled with the opportunity to be part of one of the biggest sporting events to ever take place across UK & Ireland we think makes for an exciting place to be!
Where is the role based?
Our head office is based at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, however, depending on your role, you may be required to travel across the UK and Ireland to our 9 Stadiums and 8 Host Cities, with some roles being based in those locations. Because we are an event delivery organisation, time together in person is essential for effective planning and collaboration. In 2026, most colleagues work at least three days a week from Wembley. In 2027, this will increase to 3–4 days a week as operations intensify. In 2028, during tournament delivery, full-time onsite working will be required.
Everyone is welcome
We’re hiring for excellence through inclusion. We’re building a skilled, values-led workforce that reflects the diversity of the UK and Ireland. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and identities — and we don’t expect everyone to have followed a traditional path to get here. We’re happy to accommodate any requests for reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please email any requests to careers@uki2028.com. We’ll work with you to ensure you can perform at your best.
