Overview
Trusts and Grants Manager, Youth Sport Trust. You’ll play a key role in helping to secure the income that makes Youth Sport Trust’s mission possible. The postholder will lead the development and authoring of high-quality bids, proposals and reports to a wide range of funders.
If you are effective at preparing and delivering proposals that gain financial support from trusts and foundations, government, the National Lottery or other relevant sources, this is an incredible opportunity for you to positively shape the futures of young people in the UK. Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and authoring of bids and proposals to Trusts and Foundations and other grant makers.
- Identify funding opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to prepare comprehensive and compelling bids and proposals.
- Provide regular programme reports to funders as required and ensure proposals align with priorities, strategic goals and mission.
- Manage donor reporting schedules and track income against targets to ensure funders receive high-quality, timely reports.
- Steward relationships with current and new potential funders; prepare tailored proposals, presentations and engagement plans to inspire support and foster long-term partnerships.
- Develop collaborative bids with community groups and partner organisations; attend funder workshops and events; stay abreast of fundraising trends to maximise future opportunities.
- Support the development of new income streams such as individual giving, events and partnerships to lay foundations for sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of successful bid writing and securing funding from a range of sources, including Trusts and Foundations.
- Effective at donor engagement and relationship management.
- Strong understanding of fundraising strategies and trends; excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
