This role will play a crucial part in the ongoing development and delivery of the LFC Foundation’s ready for Works team. The team is dedicated to providing tailored, sustained support to participants before, during and after they complete our core programmes, helping them transition into a variety of positive destinations, including further education, employment, training, or volunteering opportunities. By building on the progress participants have already made, this role will help ensure long term impact and meaningful progression pathways.

Your key accountabilities are as follows:

  • Deliver employability programmes that both up-skill and raise the aspiration of young people with a strong focus on supporting participants onto positive destinations through our post programme provision.
  • Create curriculum and work with external partners to achieve programme KPIs.
  • Identify and recruit young people, working alongside the Foundation’s marketing team.
  • Manage a range of stakeholders including the recruitment, vetting and training of professional mentors.
  • Manage programme logistics including venue-management, transport, food and accommodation.
  • Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively to ensure data is captured accurately and in line with our reporting procedures.
  • Facilitate work experience placements that support both the young person and the employer.
  • Manage the risk across employability programmes to ensure the safety of all young people and staff.
  • Continually carry out the quality assurance procedure to ensure consistent delivery of a world-class programme.
  • Incorporate the highest safeguarding practices into all your work.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in signposting young people to further opportunities, including experience working within education, teaching and/or careers environment. You’ll be experienced in planning and delivering educational sessions and had previous experience working with young people and vulnerable adults. You will have experience in collecting and analysing data. You’ll have a level 1 in Safeguarding Young People.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of inclusive youth work practices and a knowledge of mentoring in a youth work context. You’ll have a good knowledge of local industry. You’ll have the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. You will have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including strong organisational skills. You will be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, including being proficient on social media platforms. You’ll be able to showcase your commitment to Liverpool FC Foundation’s mission and values.

This is a full-time fixed term role for a period of 2 years with the view to extend, depending on the business needs. You will be working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Anfield Sports & Community Centre. However, the role will involve some work traveling to other locations across Merseyside from time to time and occasionally further travel across England and Wales.

To reward your hard work and commitment we offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays and the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days) and access to our benefits kit bag which includes:
