Funding Opportunity, Go! London Foundation
Community groups and grassroots organisations can apply for up to £40,000 to support their vital work in delivering sport and physical activity to transform the lives of underserved young Londoners.
Application Guidance
First launched in 2023, the Foundation Fund is Go! London’s flagship investment in community sport and physical activity across London. Now open for Round 4, the Fund offers grants of up to £40,000 for grassroots organisations delivering physical activity opportunities for underserved Londoners aged 4 to 24. For projects providing specialised support, grants of up to £55,000 will be considered.
Round 4 aims to increase activity levels among those at greater risk of poverty, social exclusion, or discrimination. The fund also aims to improve physical and mental health, safety, social connections, and access to education and employment.
What can you apply for?
You can apply for up to £40,000 (or up to £55,000 for specialist support) to fund project delivery over a period of up to 24 months.
Projects must involve sport or physical activity and may also include wraparound support – depending on the project tier selected – that improve wellbeing, safety, and access to education or employment.
We will fund the delivery of physical activity-based provision across three tiers of support:
- Participation Tier – Broad reach activities designed to increase physical activity levels among underserved children and young people.
- Targeted Support Tier – Structured programmes for groups facing specific barriers to participation, with support aimed at achieving a measurable social outcome.
- Specialised Support Tier – Longer term support for young people with complex needs, combining regular physical activity with tailored wraparound and specialist support to achieve a measurable social outcome.
Please review the Funding Application Guidance for more information about the types of projects we will fund and the Round 4 funding priorities.

To apply, your organisation must:
- Be a not-for-profit working with children and young people aged 4–24 in London
- Have an annual income under £500,000
- Not currently receive over £50,000 in revenue grants from Go! London partners (unless these end by 31 December 2025)
