Fulham FC Foundation are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed person to take up the casual position of DisAbility Football & Sports Coach. Reporting directly to our Senior DisAbility Development Manager, the DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches are responsible for delivering high-quality football & sports coaching to children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs. This role involves delivery across a wide range of our DisAbility Programmes, including Pan DisAbility Clubs, Active Autism, Down’s Syndrome ‘Badgers’, Blind and Partially Sighted, Cerebral Palsy and Dwarfism Football Sessions. In addition, there will be opportunities to work in our DisAbility Schools programme delivering PE, Enrichment Activities and After School Clubs.

While the primary focus of this role is on DisAbility Football & Sport, there may be opportunities to contribute to other FFC Foundation activities such as Skills Club, Development Centres, Soccer Schools, Primary Education, Kicks, and Health & Wellbeing. We would encourage candidates to prioritise DisAbility Programmes where possible, while remaining flexible to support other areas as needed.

This is a casual role where flexibility is essential, as the role necessitates involvement in supporting the delivery of programme activities as and when required. The successful candidate will be somebody who has prior experience delivering football & sports coaching sessions to children & young people with disabilities or additional needs in grassroots & school settings, holds at least a FA Level 1/Introduction to Coaching Football qualification and is committed to the charitable purpose of Fulham FC Foundation.

As this role is casual, there is no set timetable. Sessions may be offered on an adhoc or regular basis, depending on the needs of Fulham FC Foundation. It is the responsibility of the DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches to maintain consistent and effective communication with our Senior DisAbility Development Manager and Operations Officers to ensure the continuation of work. DisAbility Football & Sports Coaches who do not work for an extended period of time will be deactivated.

The successful candidates should be available to work across at least one of the below times, in order to receive work. We are extremely keen to hear from those who are able to work on Saturday mornings:

  • Weekdays – 9am to 5 pm
  • Weekday Evenings – 5pm to 9pm
  • Weekends – Saturdays – 8am to 12noon

Work in other timings is available, however on a far reduced frequency.

Salary Range: £12.95 p/h to £16.50 p/h

Next steps: There is no closing date for this role. Applications will be reviewed on a bi-weekly basis. If successful, you will join a vibrant team who are passionate about achieving the organisation's vision of “an active, inclusive and thriving community”, and you’ll have the opportunity to build on your existing skills through a variety of training and development opportunities and experiences.

This job description should not be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive. It is intended as an outline indication of areas of activity and responsibility and will be amended in the light of the changing needs of the organisation.
