The appointee will be responsible for leading and guiding the UK & Ireland 2028 Limited’s responsibilities in achieving excellence in tournament evaluation, including a focus on monitoring and evaluating social impact and environmental sustainability activity across the tournament’s innovative and ambitious Community Programme.
Location: Wembley Stadium, London (with travel across the UK & Ireland)

UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world‑class standards.
About UEFA EURO 2028
UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large‑scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.
The role involves:
- Leading and guiding the UK & Ireland 2028 Limited’s responsibilities in achieving excellence in tournament evaluation.
- Supporting a positive culture of impact and sustainability reporting across the organisation and our partners.
- Managing the UK&I 2028 monitoring and evaluation framework for impact and sustainability partnership projects.
- Working with tournament partners to guide and manage effective data collection across the Community Programme partnership projects.
- Providing support for environmental sustainability reporting across UK&I 2028 and Host Cities.
- Overseeing monitoring and evaluation of any social impact commitments made by tournament sponsors and suppliers.
- Managing content for the tournament’s Community Programme Online Hub.
- Collaborating with internal UK&I 2028 teams to tell the story of the tournament through data and insight.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of tournament evaluation stakeholders.
- Championing sustainability integration across all tournament operations.
Essential experience and skills include:
- Proven experience managing complex evaluation projects, particularly in a major events or sporting context.
- Experience of developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks across multi‑stakeholder projects.
- Strong understanding of the social impact and environmental sustainability sectors.
- Managing external suppliers to fixed deadlines.

Location & Working Pattern: Based at Wembley Stadium, with travel across the UK & Ireland as required. 2026: 3 days/week onsite; 2027: 3–4 days/week onsite.
