Role Description
This part‑time on‑site role involves overseeing the Wrap Around Care program, which supports children before and after school. The Wrap Around Play Leader will be responsible for:
- Organizing and leading engaging activities
- Ensuring the safety and well‑being of children
- Assisting with snack preparation
- Fostering an inclusive environment
- Maintaining clear communication with parents and guardians
- Collaborating with other staff
- Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in leading or facilitating activities for children, such as sports, arts, or educational programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with children, parents, and team members
- Basic knowledge of child development and the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment
- Organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple activities and ensure smooth daily operations
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Playwork, or equivalent (preferred)
- A current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required
- First aid certification and safeguarding training are desirable
- A passion for working with children and promoting their personal and social development
