As a member of the British Wrestling Board, you will work alongside independent directors and fellow Home Nation representatives to drive our 2025‑2030 strategy, Unleashing Potential. You will play a critical role in scrutinising management performance, mitigating organisational risks, and ensuring we remain an inclusive, world‑leading wrestling nation.

While your duties extend to the entire Association, you will hold the specific mandate of Chairing the England Committee. In this capacity, you are the vital bridge between the Board and the English grassroots community. You will lead a committee comprised of regional representatives from the North, Midlands, and South, ensuring that English interests are effectively represented and that regional governance remains robust.

About The Role

We are looking for a Director who can provide leadership in the following key areas:

  • Growing the Sport: Accelerating the growth of the English wrestling community by increasing club affiliation and individual memberships across all three regions.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Improving the synergy between regions and clubs to ensure a unified approach to development and the sharing of best practices.
  • Transparency & Governance: Enhancing transparency in decision‑making processes and ensuring that all regional activities comply with the highest standards of sports governance.
  • Unity of Purpose: While providing insight into English issues, you will maintain a collective responsibility to act in the best interests of British Wrestling as a whole.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience at an executive or non‑executive level, with the ability to contribute to complex strategy discussions.
  • Significant knowledge of the sport in England, whether through administration, grassroots development, or performance programmes.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and challenge constructively within a Board environment.
  • A proven track record of promoting diversity and inclusion.

Before applying, please review the full details of the role on the British Wrestling website.
