Project Officer - Holiday Activity and Food Programme

StreetGames is a fast-moving and innovative national charity with a sector-leading reputation for delivering sport and physical activity on the doorstep of underserved communities. Our aim is to help young people and communities enjoy lives that are healthier, safer, and more successful through sport and physical activity.

About The Role

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme Project Officer will provide operational and administrative support to the Birmingham HAF Programme, helping to ensure the programme is delivered efficiently, safely and in line with contractual requirements. Working closely with the HAF Programme Manager and wider Birmingham team, the postholder will coordinate key programme processes, support community organisations throughout the programme lifecycle, administer grants and compliance requirements, maintain programme systems and data, and provide day-to-day operational support across all delivery periods.

The role will play a key part in ensuring providers receive high-quality support, programme information is accurate and up to date, and operational issues are resolved promptly, contributing to the successful delivery of HAF and wider StreetGames programmes across Birmingham.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an organised and proactive professional with a proven background in providing administrative or project support. With excellent organisational and communication skills, you will support programme delivery through effective coordination, monitoring, compliance and quality assurance. You will be experienced in maintaining accurate records and systems, working collaboratively with community organisations, service providers and partners. Experience of grant administration, programme monitoring or supporting community-based initiatives such as HAF would be advantageous.

Above all, we are seeking someone who will be dedicated to the values and commitments of our organisation and help us make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and families.

No candidate will meet every single desired requirement. If your experience looks a little different from what we have identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we would love to learn more about you!
