Join the Oxfam community as a Stamp Specialist Volunteer, where you will help our friendly shop team by making the most of our fantastic donated stamps. From old and rare to new and unusual, we get a bit of everything here, and that’s why it’s such a great place to volunteer. Best of all, you’ll be raising vital funds to support people facing poverty around the world.
About this role
As this is a specialist role, we hope you already have a passion for stamps. But we’ll give you all the training and support you need to develop your skills as part of our team. You don’t need to have any retail experience – we’ve got you covered. You can also get some lunch and travel costs too.
What you will be doing
- Sorting, researching and valuing stamp donations
- Keeping the stamp section well-stocked and organised
- Spotting rare and collectable stamps
- Establishing a customer base that trusts your judgement
- Improving your communication skills as part of a team
- Getting retail experience while working with the stamps you love
You can keep busy behind the scenes, sorting, researching, and pricing stamps. Or maybe you’d like to be on the shop floor, keeping the shelves full and talking with our fantastic customers. Whatever works for you.
Along with learning all about this role, you can branch out and try other things. Whether it’s about the shop floor or behind the scenes, we will help you to learn as many skills as you want.

Young Volunteers
The minimum age to volunteer with Oxfam is 14 years old. If a role is not suitable for someone under 18, we will happily try to find an alternative role. Parental consent and safeguarding considerations will be required for those under 18.
