About SportBuff: SportBuff is a London based startup. We are a multi-award winning, fast growing, diverse and culturally rich start up that is changing the world of sports and esports. We are looking for an Android engineer to join our Android team. As an Android engineer at SportBuff you will participate in the development and maintenance of our Android SDK. Our codebase is purely in Kotlin using the MVVM design pattern and Jetpack Compose for our UI designs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Android SDK of Sport Buff
- Code new features
- Write technical documentation
- Participate and run code reviews
- Prototype new and redesign features
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience developing native mobile Android applications
- 2+ years experience programming in Kotlin
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience with Android UI principles and best practices
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Experience working with Jetpack Compose (basic concepts)
Bonus Points:
- Experience writing Android Libraries
- Experience working with GraphQL
- Experience with Agile development and rapid iteration cycles
- A background in startups
- Being a fan of live sports
