TRI247.com is the official charity sales partner of UK Athletics (UKA) / runbritain.com. The key purpose of the role is to promote and sell charity listings and other media opportunities on behalf of UKA, to prospect potential customers, make sales and maintain excellent client relationships. The role will also involve delivering sales reports as required to management.
Key Duties
- To study and understand all facets of the media/advertising opportunities being offered.
- To train in various sales tactics and approaches approved by the company.
- To approach potential clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means.
- To hone and deliver a skilled sales pitch to potential clients, either by phone or in person, to secure sales.
- To explain the benefits and potential audience of the specific media/advertising offerings to potential clients.
- To detail pricing and negotiate costs if/when necessary.
- To facilitate successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company.
- To add notes to records for each client call or meeting.
- To track every media/advertising purchase made to ensure that it is completed accurately and on time.
- To work to maximise sales and meet targets in the short and long term.
- To maintain excellent relationships with all clients in the executive's portfolio.
- To travel to see clients, attend tradeshows, or participate in industry events or trainings as required by the company.
- To meet clients outside of normal business hours when necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- Higher qualification or degree in business, marketing or a related field.
- Previous sales or media experience.
- Experience of selling into the charity sector (preferred).
- Outgoing personality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent client relationship management.
- Resilience and adaptability.
- Being well-organised and able to manage time effectively.
- Being detail-orientated and able to multi-task.
- Honest and reliable.
