Join Our Team β Make a Difference Through Sport and Physical Education! Sport Aberdeen is excited to offer a new opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a PE Assistant. This is a dynamic role based within a secondary school with key responsibilities in lifeguarding and supporting physical education activities.
Responsibilities
- Lifeguarding Duties in School: Provide professional lifeguard cover during swimming lessons as part of the school\βs PE curriculum, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils and staff in the pool environment.
- PE Class Support: While the priority is lifeguarding duties, when not lifeguarding the PE Assistant will assist PE staff with the delivery of physical education classes, supporting lesson setup, supervision, and pupil engagement across a range of activities.

- Post: PE Assistant
- Location: Lochside Academy
- Position available: Part Time 29.6 hours per week β Monday to Thursday, Term Time
- Duration: Fixed term end date 2nd July 2026
- Salary: Β£12.36 per hour
Requirements
- A NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) is a requirement of this role; Sport Aberdeen will provide training for any successful candidate to achieve this qualification on starting this role.
