Freelance Learning Experience Designer (LED) – UK

Join Sponge and help us create digital learning that actually changes behaviour – not box‑ticking content. We’re looking for an experienced freelance Learning Experience Designer to jump into fast‑moving projects for global clients. You’ll shape engaging, learner‑centred digital experiences alongside our in‑house consultants, creatives and project teams.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience designing high‑quality digital learning
• Confidence working with authoring tools, in particular Evolve, Storyline and Rise
• A strong grasp of learning design, structure and storytelling
• The ability to work independently and hit deadlines
• UK‑based availability and strong communication skills
• Bonus: experience with bespoke learning, global audiences or complex subject matter

Job Responsibilities

• Design engaging and effective learning experiences from brief to build
• Translate client needs into clear, learner‑focused solutions
• Collaborate with Sponge consultants, PMs and creatives
• Apply learning theory and best practice – not just content dumps
• Deliver work that meets Sponge’s high creative and quality standards
