The Role
As our Digital Designer, it’s your job to support both the creative and web teams - working heavily on designing, maintaining and improving the SPOKE website as well as creating show stopping assets for marketing and paid media.
You will:
- Utilise UX and UI expertise to design and maintain the SPOKE website, including the development of the current design system, as well as landing pages for campaign launches, homepage changes, and seasonal updates.
- Create functional, mobile-first designs, ensuring usability and performance across devices.
- Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to design digital experiences that are intuitive, reusable, and ready for real-world implementation.
- Turn out a wide range of paid static assets on time and on spec - from quick sharp meta ads, to creative carousels and video content.
- Design emails, capturing unique brand tone within each.
- Create organic social assets like reels, carousels, and stories to support marketing dates and campaigns.
You will report to the Senior Designer – but of course you’ll need to work autonomously and independently. You’ll be part of the marketing team led by the Creative Lead but you will also work closely with the web team and your time will be managed between the two.
Requirements
In an ideal world, you’d have:
- Expertise in Figma is a must.
- A strong understanding of design systems.
- All the Adobe basics mastered.
- Strong UX / UI skills.
- Someone who enjoys collaboration.
- A balance of creative thinking and practical execution.
- You're quick to ship static assets.
- Your work is characterised by clean, organised asset management.
- A natural eye for a look that is elegant, elevated and refined - and the aesthetics of layout.
- Real attention to detail. You read the brief. You remember it. You don’t need telling twice.
- Appetite to learn - and a willingness to adapt your style to internal brand guides.
- A portfolio that shows a real spike in web design and high impact digital content.
- You should know your way around an ad.
- Experience working within agile or sprint-based development environments.
- An interest / experience with AI.
- Genuine creative flair and eye.
But ... more than anything else, we value horsepower, and hustle. We’re looking for:
- Commercial instincts - a great, natural sense for what matters, what moves the needle, and what is actually viable, from the perspective of our budget and our brand.
- Great project management skills - the ability to plan work, track progress and keep the wheels turning.
- A bias to action - a proven track record of getting things done, at high tempo.
- A relentless drive to improve and optimise.
- The standard startup toolkit: initiative, energy, a high degree of comfort in an unstructured environment, and a willingness to work across a broad range of roles.
- Ideally, an authentic interest in fashion / style / menswear.
Benefits
You can expect:
- A competitive salary.
- 25 days of holiday - and 1 additional for each year of service.
- Vitality health insurance.
- 3% pension matching.
- 3&2 working week - work from home (or anywhere else) 2 days per week.
- Perhaps the most generous 'trouser allowance' anywhere in the world.
