Aureos are seeking a Project Manager to manage electrical projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

The Electrical Project Manager will coordinate resources, manage client relationships, oversee subcontractors, and ensure compliance with all relevant electrical, health and safety, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical installation and infrastructure projects from tender handover through to final completion.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Coordinate engineers, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client requirements.
  • Monitor project performance against programme, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage procurement of materials, plant, and specialist subcontract services.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and company procedures.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project changes, variations, and commercial implications.
  • Produce regular project reports and updates for senior management and clients.
  • Support estimating and tendering activities where required.
  • Oversee project commissioning, testing, handover, and completion documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Essential Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382-18).
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • CSCS Managers Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Prince2, APMP, or equivalent Project Management qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
  • Membership of a professional body (IET, APM, CIBSE).
  • Temporary Works Coordinator qualification.
  • Knowledge & Experience

Essential Proven experience managing electrical projects within commercial, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure environments.

Strong understanding of electrical installations, distribution systems, and compliance requirements.

Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of contract administration and project financial management.

Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.

Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Desirable Experience in data centres, renewable energy, healthcare, rail, defence, or critical infrastructure sectors.

Experience with design-and-build projects.

Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts.

Experience using project management software such as MS Project, Asta, or Primavera.
