Our highly skilled team of engineers is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality, accuracy, and reliability across our extensive product range. Operating exclusively from our UK manufacturing facility, we provide complete solutions from design and manufacture through to inspection and certification meeting the most demanding industry standards.
As Health & Safety Manager you will report to the managing director and be responsible for the following:
- Ensure the business is compliant with all H&SE, company and legislative requirements, via company policies, procedures and systems
- Promote safe working practices and be a role model within the site for this subject
- Manage and review risk assessments
- Carry out internal training (including inductions) and organise external training
- Manage ISO14001 & 9001, supporting Laboratory manager with ISO17025
- Coordinate the development of AS9100
- Arrange internal & external audits on management systems
- Ensure environmental compliance
- Facility management (hard & soft)
- Assess and investigate any quality non-conformances
- Undertake quarterly health, safety and environmental committee meetings
- Arrange and organize contractors for all required health, safety & environmental inspections / servicing of the site
- Undertake accident investigations & Reportable incidents
About you:
- A minimum of 2 years EH&S experience in a manufacturing setting
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Self-motivated, hands on, team player
- Lead auditor to 9001, 14001, 9100 desirable
- Facilities Management skills for both hard & soft FM desirable
- Good communicator
- Confident IT skills
