About the Role: We’re looking for a senior marketing leader to own the Spitfire Audio brand and go-to-market (GTM) strategy and be the key strategic marketing partner owning trade-offs across the broader Splice and Spitfire Instruments portfolio. This role owns all marketing output for Spitfire Audio, from brand strategy and storytelling to campaigns, lifecycle, partnerships, and merchandising. It will also lead strategic positioning, launches, and growth for Spitfire Audio’s core instruments business—strengthening leadership with composers, expanding into adjacent creator segments, and driving sustained revenue through world-class brand building and performance marketing.
Reporting to the GM, this role will directly manage the Spitfire Audio GTM team and direct marketing efforts across the broader Splice and Spitfire Instruments portfolio – helping guide GTM trade-offs, coordinated campaigns, and clear brand storytelling.
What You’ll Do:
- Own Brand & GTM Strategy: Define Spitfire Audio’s brand vision, positioning, and customer narrative. Set GTM priorities and translate launches and strategic bets into clear plans with measurable outcomes. Ensure consistent differentiation across all touch points (sound quality, musicality, expressiveness, ease of use).
- Lead Campaigns & Growth: Drive GTM execution across launches, evergreen growth, and seasonal moments. Lead integrated campaigns across content, social, CRM/lifecycle, partnerships, PR, and site merchandising. Build repeatable GTM operating rhythms (planning, launch playbooks, performance reviews).
- Drive Conversion & Lifecycle: Optimise acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention journeys across the funnel. Own lifecycle strategy including onboarding, cross-sell/upsell, winback, and segmentation. Partner closely with ecommerce and web teams to improve conversion and merchandising.
- Partner with Product & Data: Translate product and AI innovation into compelling, creator-centric value propositions. Shape pricing, packaging, and positioning across perpetual and subscription business models.
- Lead & Scale the Team: Manage and develop the Spitfire Audio GTM org, including creative, product marketing, partnerships, merchandising, and CRM. Set clear priorities, coach leaders, and maintain a high bar for creative and executional excellence. Build a highly data-driven marketing culture. Act as a senior strategic marketing leader across Spitfire Audio and Splice Instruments. Help resolve overlaps, define portfolio positioning, and guide GTM trade-offs. Ensure customers clearly understand Spitfire Audio vs. Splice Instrument offerings and why each exists.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in senior marketing leadership roles (brand, growth, product marketing, or integrated GTM), ideally in creative software, music tech, SaaS, or subscription/perpetual digital products.
- Demonstrated success leading GTM strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams with multi-layered reporting structures.
- Strong brand leadership experience, ideally with premium, creator-led brands.
- Deep understanding of creator workflows (composers, producers, or both); virtual instruments familiarity strongly preferred.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with product, engineering, design, and commercial partners.
- Highly data-driven and metrics-literate, with strong strategic judgment and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
Benefits:
- Private healthcare, including 24/7 digital GP access, mental health support pathways, and a range of pre-claim services.
- Life assurance, income protection, and critical illness coverage.
- Generous time off: 20 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays, 5 additional discretionary days, and a company-wide winter break.
- Employee benefit and retail discounts.
- Cycle to Work and Tech schemes (tax-efficient benefits).
- Monthly ClassPass credits.
- Regular company-wide social events.
- Annual learning & development stipend.
- Exclusive company merch and swag drops.
