ROLE DETAILS

This is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership of the strategy, go-to-market direction, and growth impact of INSTRUMENT, one of Splice’s most important product surfaces. You’ll operate as a hands-on strategic partner to Product, Marketing, and Growth, shaping positioning, influencing roadmap decisions, and leading high-impact launches and evergreen initiatives. Success in this role is measured by sustained business impact and your ability to elevate creative, creator-centric marketing across teams.

TEAM INFORMATION

At Splice, Product Marketing is a deeply strategic function focused on connecting customer needs, product direction, and business outcomes. This role sits on the Product Marketing team and is dedicated to INSTRUMENT, a core growth surface within Splice’s instrument portfolio, operating as a senior partner to Product, Marketing, and Growth with clear ownership of strategy, go-to-market direction, and market impact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own category strategy and growth for INSTRUMENT, including positioning, narrative, customer definition, and long-term market opportunity.
  • Be accountable for measurable business impact, with INSTRUMENT expected to drive the majority of growth across the instrument portfolio.
  • Lead GTM strategy end to end, spanning major launches, in-product moments, and evergreen initiatives that compound growth over time.
  • Partner deeply with Product leadership to influence product roadmap decisions and tradeoffs based on customer value, market fit, and growth potential.
  • Define and evolve core audiences and use cases, grounding strategy in real creator workflows and behaviors.
  • Establish and own success metrics across adoption, activation, retention, and monetization, co-owning outcomes with Product and Growth.
  • Inspire and elevate creative marketing execution, setting a high bar for originality, craft, and engagement across campaigns and tactics.
  • Operate as a senior cross-functional leader, aligning Product, Marketing, Growth, Data, and Partnerships around a shared strategy and learning agenda.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 7–10+ years of Product Marketing experience, with demonstrated ownership of strategy, GTM, and growth outcomes.
  • Experience owning a major product, category, or growth surface, with accountability for real business results.
  • Proven ability to influence product direction through positioning, customer insight, and market perspective.
  • Deep fluency in GTM strategy, including launches, evergreen growth, and in-product moments.
  • Experience defining customer segments, use cases, and narratives that meaningfully shape product and marketing decisions.
  • Comfort operating in complex product portfolios with multiple brands, surfaces, or bundled offerings.
  • Effective cross-functional leader, able to operate as a peer to Product, Growth, and Marketing leaders.
  • Strong analytical instincts, with the ability to define success metrics and interpret impact, even in imperfect or ambiguous systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clarity, alignment, and momentum at the senior level.

  • Experience in music creation, creative software, or creator-led platforms.
  • Hands-on familiarity with music production workflows, including DAWs, plugins, or virtual instruments.
  • Background in subscription or platform businesses, including pricing, packaging, or lifecycle growth.
  • Comfort working in AI-powered or rapidly evolving product spaces, especially where creator trust and ethics matter.
  • Strong creative instincts, with a track record of raising the bar on originality, craft, and cultural relevance in marketing.
  • Prior experience mentoring or informally leading other PMMs or cross-functional partners.

The national pay range for this role is $156,973 - $196,216. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
