About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail focused Claims Administrator to support our Motor Claims team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of claims, documentation, financials, and communication across the department.
Responsibilities
- Allocating new claims and correspondence, maintaining accurate system data and supporting the wider team with day-to-day workflow planning.
- Updating and managing claims financials, including cash book reporting from the Finance team, ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date.
- Supporting with internal reporting and cleansing system data where necessary to maintain data integrity.
- Liaising with repairers to confirm vehicle return dates, processing purchase order approvals and ensuring internal systems are updated accordingly.
- Uploading and reconciling engineering and repair invoices to the correct claim files, including resolving any documentation discrepancies.
- Arranging payment of Independent Engineer (IENG) fees and supporting the claims team with invoice management in line with company procedures.
- Providing general administrative support across the claims function, assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required.
What you’ll bring
- Strong administrative skills with a natural ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring data and documentation are always updated correctly.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with good confidence interpreting spreadsheets.
- Some understanding of insurance and motor claims processes (desirable, but not essential).
- Well-organised with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who is happy to support the wider claims team and contribute where needed.
