FUNCTION To supply materials to specification with continuous production output, whilst maintaining stock accuracy.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To strongly adhere to instructions given by the team leader daily.
- To receive, and accept material upon delivery with condition checks.
- To check material release and properties according to specification.
- To utilise the javelin system for logging jobs and recording production.
- Understanding the different specifications to determine aerospace/commercial grade.
- Mandatory stock control, develop a strong understanding of material.
- To make route card amendments using the javelin system based on stock on hand.
- Use efficiently the Guillotine, Autogill and Barsaw machines with various aspects of cutting different specifications, dimensions and thicknesses.
- Assist heavily with monthly stock checks under team leader supervision.
- Understanding of route cards using standard op for material issue.
- To be able to read engineering drawings to assist with material issue.
- To adhere to work list created by the team leader at day start and throughout the working day.
- To follow all safety procedures linked to the machines and area in general, including correct use of PPE.
- Counterbalance Forklift driving (this is essential in house training course will be provided).
- Ability to use measuring equipment, vernier and micrometer.
- Understanding of machine use and what material can be used alongside.
- Keeping the stock room tidy with the ability to locate correctly within the warehouse.
- To keep a divide between the aerospace and commercial material stock.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be efficient in Mathematics.
- Work efficiently as a team and alone.
