To support the verification and inspection of customer parts within the business and to support the company’s targets, goals, and objectives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspection and verification of manufactured product using handheld measuring equipment, vision systems, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and other associated inspection equipment.
- Supporting production in identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, and advising on best‑practice measurement techniques.
- Training and advising operators in specific quality techniques.
- Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Positive involvement in continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Essential – Experience of quality approvals within the Aerospace (or similar) industries.
- Flexibility and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to absorb new training.
- Ability to communicate professionally (excellent listening, verbal, written, telephone skills) at all levels internally and externally.

- Experience running CNC CMM programmes.
- Good understanding of all measuring equipment within the department (including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, screw measuring equipment, vision systems and projector/shadowgraph systems).
This role regularly requires long periods of sitting and standing and use of hands to operate electronic equipment. Work may also occasionally involve lifting of materials and products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Desirable – 3‑year engineering apprenticeship completed.
- IT competency – ability to produce Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures for factory working.

Shifts
Note: we operate a 4‑day working week (37.5 hours).
- Day shift – Monday to Wednesday – 07:00 to 17:00 & Thursday 07:00 to 16:30.
- Early shift – Monday to Wednesday – 06:00 to 16:00 & Thursday 06:00 to 15:30.
- Late shift – Monday to Wednesday – 13:00 to 23:00 & Thursday 13:00 to 22:30.
