Job summary
Spirit Primary Care is looking for a Salaried GP to join Satis House in Water Orton for 6 sessions per week.
Satis House is a single-handed practice, meaning you will be the sole GP working at the practice. This offers a real opportunity to build strong relationships with your patients and become an important part of the local community.
Although you will be the solo GP on site, you will not be working in isolation, the practice hosts a wider multi-disciplinary team including a nurse, pharmacist, HCA and patient services team.
You’ll also have support of a GP Clinical Lead and Clinical Director throughout your journey, as well as colleagues across our other practices and triage team.
Main duties of the job
Your role will include:
- Providing face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations, including home visits where required.
- Managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, minor illness and injuries.
- Providing continuity of care and developing strong, trusted relationships with patients.
- Prescribing safely and appropriately and requesting and interpreting diagnostic investigations.
- Providing preventative healthcare, health promotion, screening and vaccination advice.
- Recognising and appropriately escalating safeguarding concerns.
- Working with the wider MDT and external healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients.
- Supporting delivery of QOF and other contractual and quality requirements.
- Participating in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.
- Keeping up to date with current clinical guidance, evidence-based practice and developments in primary care.
- Maintaining your CPD, mandatory training and professional development.

Person Specification
Experience – Essential
- Primary care GP experience
Qualifications – Essential
- An experienced doctor with GP accreditation.
- Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list (with no conditions preventing working or restrictions on practice).
Specific Skills/Competencies – Essential
- Record of on-going CPD and learning.
- Knowledge of clinical governance.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and requirements.
- Good organisational and IT skills desirable.
- Will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team.
- Will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services.
