Spirit Health is recruiting for a Pharmacy Dispenser to support the delivery of a distance‑selling pharmacy dispensing service. The role

  • Support the efficient delivery of a distance‑selling pharmacy dispensing service in line with established Standard Operating Procedures
  • Dispense medication safely and accurately, ensuring clinical safety and adherence to pharmaceutical protocols
  • Ensure the timely packing, dispatch and delivery of prescribed medications to patients across England
  • Provide healthcare advice and patient support via telephone and electronic channels
  • Manage operational and clinical queries from healthcare practitioners, GPs and other medical professionals
  • Complete prescription administration accurately, ensuring all documentation and processing are completed within required timeframes
  • Dispense medication into monitored dosage systems, including blister packs and compliance aids, in line with pharmacy protocols
  • Pack medications into appropriate delivery packaging, preparing orders safely for distribution to patients and community settings
  • Maintain high standards of operational excellence through quality control, attention to detail and continuous improvement
  • Undertake reasonable additional duties to support pharmacy operations and team objectives as required
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including equal opportunities, health and safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, including MHRA guidelines, clinical governance standards and professional dispensing requirements

Who we need

  • Qualified pharmacy dispenser with a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services, or an equivalent dispensing qualification
  • At least one year’s dispensing experience within a pharmacy or similar healthcare environment
  • Strong expertise in safe medication dispensing, including monitored dosage systems, blister packs and compliance packaging
  • Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and current legal and professional developments within the pharmacy sector
  • Confidence in handling clinical and operational queries from patients, healthcare professionals, GPs and medical practitioners
