Flexible hours available (zero-hours or sub-contractor basis), approximately 5 - 10 hours per week, with the possibility of more or fewer hours depending on need.

As a Diabetes/Health Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering our Empower structured diabetes education programme to patients in and across the UK. You will deliver both face-to-face and virtual sessions, with some evening and weekend availability required. In return, we offer flexibility and work satisfaction.

What you will do is:

  • Deliver the EMPOWER programme to patients living with diabetes.
  • Deliver sessions in line with our curriculum, standards, educator handbook, lesson plan and service(s) Operating Manual.
  • Provide compassionate support to help patients achieve long-term lifestyle changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Spirit policies and procedures.

Whether you come from a clinical or non-clinical background, what matters most is your ability to connect, educate and inspire! You will have experience delivering education or training to adult learners, with confidence in facilitating both in-person and virtual groups. You are a self-starter with strong time management skills, reliable and punctual, demonstrating professionalism in all that you do. Most importantly, you believe in the power of patient self-care and behaviour change to drive and improve meaningful health outcomes.

This role requires travel within the area to deliver face-to-face courses in local community settings, so you must be based locally. A UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential.
