Diabetes Health Educator – North East and North Cumbria (Northumberland, North Tyneside & Gateshead).

Pay: £18 per hour (Zero hours).

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the EMPOWER programme to patients, including face‐to‐face courses in the advertised area and occasional video courses.
  • Ensure all programmes follow the curriculum, syllabus, educator handbook, lesson plan and service operating manuals.
  • Adhere to Spirit policies and procedures.
  • Deliver the service on evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Clinical or non‐clinical educator with experience in teaching or training adults.
  • Enthusiastic self‐starter with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to promote self‐care and support patients in achieving positive health outcomes.
  • Work autonomously, reliably, punctual and confident.
  • Locally based within the advertised area, own a car and hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Capacity for travel within the area to deliver face‐to‐face courses in community settings.
  • Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‐paced environments.
