We’re on the hunt for someone to fill our recently upgraded National Account Manager role, to own and grow Spirit Cartel’s wholesale business. If you enjoy building relationships, you are confident with your spirit product knowledge and understand the wholesale spirits market, you could be exactly who we’re looking for. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working with or within a wholesaler who is dynamic, confident, well‑connected and ready for the next step in their career.

Reporting into the General Manager of Spirit Cartel, this is a standalone role with plenty of freedom, responsibility, and room to make your mark. You’ll own the wholesale conversation — opening doors, securing profitable listings, and making sure our brands fly once they’re in. You’ll build strong relationships with wholesale buyers and get regional sales teams championing Spirit Cartel, being the driving force that keeps our brands moving. You’ll take charge of our route‑to‑market strategy, keeping stock moving properly, supply is fully compliant, and our brands visible in all the right places. You’ll be capable, experienced working with tight budgets, able to spot real opportunity within the brands, and bring strong knowledge of the UK spirits wholesale network.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and agreeing a strategic JBP (Joint Business Plan) for each of the major wholesale customers, limiting cost and maximising delivery.
  • Winning new wholesale listings and delivering strong, sustainable volume.
  • Building sharp, costed account plans that turn ambition into results.
  • Pitching Spirit Cartel brands with confidence, personality, and commercial impact.
  • Identifying high‑performing on‑trade venues and locking in the right wholesale routes.
  • Growing and managing profitable relationships with regional and national wholesalers.
  • Interpreting sales data and market insight to drive performance, especially across key brands like Clase Azul.
  • Training and motivating wholesaler sales teams to actively champion our brands.
  • Spotting new commercial opportunities — from group openings to tenders and everything in between.
  • Bringing brand plans and promotions to life where it counts: in market.
  • Feeding back clear, useful insight on what’s landing (and what isn’t) to brand owners and the wider team.

About you:

  • You’ll likely be strong strategically with planning and executing JBP for accounts.
  • Commercially sharp, with a strong grasp of P&L, ROI, and what really drives growth.
  • Well‑connected across wholesale and on‑trade, with a track record of winning business.
  • Genuinely passionate about premium spirits and up to speed on the UK wholesale landscape and trends.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident, persuasive, and comfortable building relationships at every level.
  • A self‑starter who enjoys autonomy but understands the value of teamwork.
  • Entrepreneurial in mindset, proactive by nature, and motivated to beat targets.
  • Adaptable, personable, and confident representing premium brands in the trade.
  • A full UK driving licence holder.

Working Pattern: Not a 9‑to‑5 desk job. You’ll be customer‑facing, on the road, and available when your customers need you. You will manage expectations, deliver promotions, and host events – all while having fun and embracing an entrepreneurial approach.

Work Location: You will be field based but ideally we would like you to work from our head office in London once a week.

Offer: Up to £50,000 per annum, plus 15% bonus upon achievement of KPIs, 25 days annual leave rising to 26 days after 5 years’ service and 27 days after 10 years’ service, plus bank holidays, company car, company pension, access to our Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, contribution to dental costs, generous staff discount on our wine, a bottle of wine on your birthday and Spirit Cartel anniversary.

We cannot consider your application if you do not have the legal right to work in the UK. You must also satisfy the required knowledge and experience criteria detailed above. Equal consideration will be given to all candidates, irrespective of their gender, race, disability, marital status, religion, age or sexuality.
