Role Purpose
We are currently recruiting for Approved Operators to be based at our customer Airbus’s site at Broughton, Chester. These roles will be responsible for repair and rework of Spirit-manufactured assemblies to engineering-defined standards using both recognized manual and automated technologies. Additionally, you will undertake operations support roles as required and provide guidance and support to other areas of the business as necessary.
Approved Operator Grade A
This opportunity, based at our Broughton site, offers:
- Shift premiums up to 33%, where applicable
- Overtime at time and a half, where applicable
- 33 days holiday per year, rising with service
- Annual bonus related to company performance
- Defined contribution pension scheme (default contributions; 4% employee and 8% employer)

Responsibilities
- Candidates must have completed an accredited apprenticeship in an appropriate mechanical discipline and be able to produce original documentation in support of this.
- Assist in the manufacture of aircraft components built to customer specifications within agreed budget and timescales.
- Reading and interpreting engineering instructions and meeting the customer specifications.
- Personally responsible for ensuring and certifying that the quality of work consistently meets specific standards required by the company.
- Work within a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiencies to meet the changing needs of the market.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Work on own initiative or as part of a team as required.
