The Opportunity
As part of the continued growth of its highly regarded Family team, the firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor with 10+ years' PQE to manage a varied caseload of high-quality private family work while supporting the development of junior lawyers and contributing to the ongoing success of the department. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished lawyer to manage a varied caseload of high-quality private family matters while playing an active role in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
The remit will include:
- Advise clients on matrimonial finance, including high net worth matters.
- Manage TOLATA and trusts of land disputes between unmarried couples.
- Handle child arrangements and financial provision/maintenance matters.
- Manage files from initial instruction through to completion.
- Attend client meetings, negotiations and court hearings as required.
- Supervise and support trainee and newly qualified solicitors.
- Work closely with the Head of Department and contribute to the ongoing success of the team.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to develop existing and new business.
Requirements
- 10+ years' PQE gained in private practice (excluding Legal Aid).
- Strong technical experience across all areas of private family law.
- Experience advising high net worth clients.
- Commercial awareness with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
