Spirehouse are recruiting for a locum Employment Solicitor on behalf of an East London local authority.
The Opportunity
This is a locum contract role within the Legal Services team of an East London council, covering employment law matters as part of a busy in-house legal function.
You will manage a varied employment law caseload , delivering clear and effective legal advice and representation to the council. Advocacy may be required where necessary.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX eligible to practise in England and Wales with a current practising certificate
- Solid employment law experience gained in local government or a comparable public sector environment
- Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Experience of or an aptitude for advocacy
