Spirehouse Recruitment is partnering with a leading national law firm to find an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their Southampton office.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a well-regarded national employment team, with offices across England and Wales, and a strong foothold in the South. The team advises primarily corporate employer clients, with some senior executive and claimant work, giving you variety and the chance to develop a well-rounded practice.
A broad mix of high-value, technically complex claims prepared from inception through to tribunal hearing and advisory and non-contentious work - contracts, policies, settlement agreements, and day-to-day HR support.
Day to Day
- Running a mixed caseload of contentious and advisory employment matters for corporate employer clients
- Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to hearing, including disclosure, witness statements, and directions compliance
- Advising on disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancies, restructures, and discrimination issues
- Drafting and advising on contracts of employment, staff handbooks, policies, and settlement agreements
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with circa 6+ PQE in employment law
- Solid experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment work
- An interest in business development and growing a practice.
- Exposure to employment-related corporate support or data protection is a bonus, though not essential
