Avalon Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established supported housing provider for an experienced Operations & Property Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a supported housing portfolio, leading property operations, maintenance, compliance and a small operational team to ensure homes are safe, well maintained and managed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day property operations across a supported housing portfolio.
  • Lead and support a small operational team.
  • Oversee reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance.
  • Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and value for money.
  • Drive high property standards and ensure compliance with fire safety, Legionella and relevant housing legislation.
  • Monitor budgets, maintenance performance and operational KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing housing, supported housing or residential property operations.
  • Proven people management experience.
  • Strong contractor and supplier management skills.
  • A commercial approach with the confidence to challenge poor performance and negotiate best value.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Experience within supported housing, housing associations or registered providers would be advantageous.
