  • Support the implementation of individual pastoral and educational plans, ensuring consistency across classroom, nurture provision, and home.
  • Monitor, track and review the progress, wellbeing, and behaviour of identified pupils, contributing to planning meetings and multi-agency work.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and professionals to support positive outcomes.
  • Provide a safe, calm and supportive environment where pupils can regulate, reflect, and successfully re-engage with learning.
  • Deliver targeted nurture and intervention support, including small group sessions focused on self-regulation, emotional literacy, and behaviour management.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to adapt and personalise learning, including supporting pupils within lessons or in a bespoke provision.
  • Support and deliver elements of the school’s behaviour systems, including within the pupil support/nurture space.
  • Supervise and support pupils during unstructured times (break and lunch), promoting positive social interaction and inclusion.
  • Analyse behaviour and pastoral data to inform next steps and contribute to strategic planning with senior leaders.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Counselling, Childcare, Education).
  • Experience working with children and young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
  • Experience of working with families and/or external agencies is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders.
  • A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach.
We Offer:
  • A supportive and welcoming team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
