The Opportunity:
We have an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join our Private Client team, based in Norwich. This role offers an excellent chance to provide secretarial support in a fast-paced environment.
The Candidate:
We are seeking a candidate who:
- Has previous legal secretarial experience.
- Possesses excellent time management, organisational, IT, and communication skills.
- Can demonstrate accurate typing abilities, including dictations.
- Takes pride in exceptional attention to detail.
- Can communicate in a friendly, professional, and confidential manner.

The Role:
As a Legal Secretary, you will:
- Produce correspondence via BigHand digital dictation system and/or copy typing.
- Proofread all typed communications for accuracy and presentation; amend documents with tracked changes.
- Answer calls and respond to emails professionally and promptly.
- Handle new client enquiries and ensure instructions are allocated appropriately.
- Manage electronic and paper files, including conflict checking, in line with firm procedures.
- Arrange for timely posting of documents.
- Assist clients with collecting original documents such as Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Manage diaries for fee earners.
- Photocopy and scan documents as needed.
- Greet clients and collect ID documents.
- Relay client or third-party feedback to relevant staff.
- Make notes of meetings or calls when appropriate.
- Ensure fee earners have necessary documentation for meetings.
- Maintain and update files, both paper and electronic.
