Key Account Manager required to join the business and be part of the sales/account management team. The Sales Account Managers are responsible for developing and growing sales with an existing key customer base in line with agreed business objectives and targets.
Function: To deliver strong sales performance within the Special Fabrication Department by managing enquiries, converting opportunities, coordinating technical input, and supporting delivery. The role is sales-led and customer-facing, while operating within clearly defined technical, quality, and commercial controls and supporting disciplined administration across the department.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conversion of Special Fabrication enquiries into profitable orders
- Accuracy and robustness of quotations and sales assumptions
- Proactive customer engagement and pipeline management
- Early identification and escalation of technical, commercial, or delivery risk
- Discipline in administration, systems usage, and process compliance
Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus):
- Proactively manage Special Fabrication enquiries, quotations, and follow-up activity
- Conduct outbound sales activity to develop new, existing, and dormant customers
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and review
- Maintain a clear, accurate, and visible sales pipeline within Company systems
Sales & Quotation Management:
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements accurately
- Prepare quotations aligned with fabrication capability, material specifications, processing, testing, and delivery requirements
- Work closely with Technical Processors to ensure quotations are technically sound and realistic
- Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion
- Maintain accurate quotation status, pricing assumptions, and customer records

- Track record of excellent performance selling into the construction sector
- Knowledge of sales techniques and overcoming objections
- Resilience and self-motivated as the ability to build relations with clients is paramount
- Experience of developing energising relationships across functions to enable customer plans that deliver results
- Experience of delivering and over-delivering sales targets
