Role Purpose:
To deal effectively and efficiently with all aspects of Transport Administration, managing the day-to-day operations of transportation within a company, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods, people, or vehicles. This role involves coordination, logistics, compliance, and customer service.
Key Tasks:
- Plan, coordinate, scheduling transportation routes for vehicles, booking slots for deliveries, using various IT systems.
- Checking & Authorising invoices.
- Maintaining our EPOD system, ensuring hauliers are in compliance with the correct processes.
- Assisting the transport department with day-to-day tasks.
- Ensuring driver paperwork is up to date and issued correctly.
- Liaise with suppliers and sales team regarding transportation requirements and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other departments to resolve transportation issues or delays.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to queries related to delivery times, schedules, or complaints.
- Troubleshoot problems and find quick resolutions to avoid disruption in transportation.
- Prepare regular reports on transportation metrics such as delivery times, costs, and efficiency.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field is highly beneficial.
