Spire Yale Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Governance & Quality Manager to provide senior leadership for all aspects of clinical governance, quality improvement and regulatory compliance across the hospital. This is a high-impact leadership role, working in close partnership with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services, Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) Chair and Consultant body to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care. This role is full time (37.5 hours) working Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, implement and continuously improve the hospital’s Clinical Governance and Quality Strategy
- Ensure full compliance with CQC / HIW regulatory requirements, including inspection preparation and submissions
- Coordinate and present comprehensive governance, quality and risk reports to senior committees and corporate teams
- Oversee the investigation and management of incidents, complaints and serious events, ensuring learning is embedded and shared
- Lead governance systems including audit, risk management, Datix, alerts and policy management
- Provide assurance on medical governance, including practising privileges, consultant performance indicators and MAC support
- Act as a senior professional advisor on patient safety, quality improvement and regulatory matters
- Promote a just culture, continuous improvement and multidisciplinary engagement across the hospital
- Build strong internal and external relationships with regulators and system partners
Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for a motivated and credible governance professional who brings leadership presence and a strong understanding of healthcare quality systems. You will have:
- Significant experience in a Clinical Governance, Quality or Risk leadership role
- Strong working knowledge of CQC / HIW standards and healthcare regulation
- Experience of governance reporting, inspections and assurance processes
- Proven people management and team leadership experience
- Excellent communication, influencing and report-writing skills
- The confidence to operate at senior leadership and committee level
- A commitment to patient safety, learning and continuous improvement
