Maintenance Estate Engineer | Spire South Bank Hospital | Private | Worcester | Full Time/Permanent/Full Time 37.5 hours per week + On Call | £36,000 per annum + excellent benefits
Spire South Bank Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Estate Engineer to join the team on a Full-Time basis. The successful applicant will work as part of the engineering team providing a comprehensive and cost-effective engineering service within the hospital. Maintaining a safe environment for all staff and customers.

Duties and responsibilities:
To work as part of the engineering team providing a comprehensive engineering and maintenance service within the hospital, which ensures a safe environment for all Patients, Visitors, Staff and Contractors.
The role will require repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric.
This will consist of Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing and calibration, fault finding, defect correction and supporting the emergency on call on a rota basis.
To undertake maintenance/testing/troubleshooting of plant/equipment, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations / PPM Schedules and manufactures instruction, including but not limited to;
- Building and Minor Electrical
- Water Safety, PPM's
- Ventilation System
- Decontamination
- Medical Gas Management
- General Handyperson Duties
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm (on a rota basis)
24/7 on call requirement, 1 week in 3
Must live within 45 mins from the Hospital
Who we're looking for:
- Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical)
- Experience in building services management with a track record of success
- Knowledge of building services
- Working experience with Medical gas cylinders / medical gas pipeline systems
- Water safety and legionella control experience required
- Prioritise demands against resources
- Support hospital compliance with changing legislation
