Spire St Anthony's Hospital is looking for a dedicated Theatre Assistant to join our operating theatre team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a professional, supportive theatre environment within a leading private healthcare provider.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting Nurses and Consultants during surgical procedures
- Assisting Scrub Nurses within the operating theatres
- Providing patient support within the anaesthetic room
- Transporting patients to and from the ward
- Opening sterile packs and preparing clinical equipment
- Preparing, checking, and handling instruments prior to procedures
- Assisting with equipment ordering and stock control
- Maintaining theatre cleanliness and supporting infection prevention and control
- Contributing actively to a safe, efficient, and high-quality theatre environment
Who We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within theatre settings (desirable)
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent (e.g. Care Certificate)
- A caring, compassionate approach with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
