Spire Clare Park Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis. Working closely with the Hospital Director and People Business Partner, you will provide high-quality HR support and advice to managers and colleagues across the hospital.

Spire Clare Park is a modern elective hospital in Farnham, rated Good by the CQC, delivering a wide range of surgical and diagnostic services including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology and ENT, supported by state-of-the-art imaging facilities.

The Role

As People Advisor, you will be the focal point for employee-related activity across the full employee lifecycle. You will provide first-line HR advice, coaching and guidance, supporting managers to deliver fair, consistent and compliant people practices while helping colleagues deliver Spire's purpose every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues in line with Spire policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary, grievance and absence management, undertaking investigations where appropriate.
  • Coordinate recruitment activity, onboarding, induction and job-specific training.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity on Spire's HR system (Florence).
  • Coordinate learning and development activities and training administration.
  • Work closely with HR Shared Services, central HR and payroll teams to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Build strong relationships with heads of department and hiring managers, acting as a trusted HR contact.
  • Support ad-hoc HR and people projects as directed by the Hospital Director and People Business Partner.

Who We're Looking For

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a People Advisor or HR role.
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
