Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care within a surgical ward environment?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Spire Dunedin Hospital is looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Wards team on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an opportunity to join a well-established team caring for patients across a range of surgical specialties within a modern and patient-focused hospital.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe and effective care to patients throughout their hospital stay. Working closely with consultants, healthcare professionals and support colleagues, you'll assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care across a varied surgical caseload.

This is a hands-on clinical role where you'll support patients through their surgical journey while helping to maintain high standards of care, safety and clinical practice.

Why Join Us

You'll be joining an experienced and supportive ward team that values collaboration, professionalism and teamwork. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience within one of the UK's leading independent healthcare providers.

  • Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues, including discussing sensitive information.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety and clinical governance.
  • Contribute to service improvement and the ongoing development of the ward.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Who we're looking for:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience working within an acute healthcare setting.
  • Confident managing a varied patient caseload.
  • Strong clinical knowledge supported by professional registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Organised, reliable and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
  • Positive and professional approach to work.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing clinical environment.
  • Surgical ward experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Nurses with a genuine interest in developing their surgical nursing experience are encouraged to apply.
