Are you an experienced and motivated leader in diagnostic imaging? We’re seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Manager to head our Imaging Department and drive excellence in patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Spire Dunedin, Reading – a leading independent hospital group – where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality imaging services that truly make a difference.

The Role
- Lead and manage the radiology team to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality imaging services.
- Ensure compliance with Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) and all clinical governance standards.
- Drive service improvement initiatives, including audits, quality assurance, and policy development.
- Oversee departmental budgets and resources, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with hospital business plans.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and support to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Maintain patient safety and excellent standards of care, ensuring informed consent and promoting equality and diversity.
- Act as an ambassador for Spire Healthcare, communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and senior management.
Who we’re looking for:
- HCPC registered Radiographer with significant experience in diagnostic imaging.
- BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- Proven leadership and management experience within a radiology setting.
- Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R and clinical governance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- A passion for quality improvement and patient-centred care.
- Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP systems management.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
- Passion to deliver high quality diagnostic services.
- MRI experience would be preferable.
