Spire Dunedin Hospital has an opportunity for a Porter to join our outstanding staff bank. You will be part of a team that prides itself on providing exemplary service to our Patients, Visitors and Colleagues at all times. Spire Dunedin Hospital has been serving the Reading community for over 100 years, as a first-class medical facility. Based in the heart of Reading, the hospital has two theatres, 16 inpatient beds, three recovery bays, Oncology services and an Endoscopy Suite.
Duties and responsibilities:
- You will be working for the team responsible for the transportation of all patients, equipment, goods and waste throughout the hospital.
- This will involve plenty of customer service as you transport patients to and from their procedures, so great personal skills are necessary!
- You will transport medical gases, clinical waste and any equipment as required by the Manager.
Full training is provided and you will be rewarded with great benefits.
Who we're looking for:
- Have excellent customer service and can provide a friendly ear to patients during what can sometimes be a particularly unsettling time.
- You will need to be comfortable with the often-physical nature of the role.
- Someone who has the flexibility to work varying shift patterns on our rota.
- Hold a full UK driver's license.
