Spire Healthcare\’s East London and Essex Hub is offering exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrators to join our team as Outpatient Appointments Administrators. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a dynamic healthcare environment, where your contribution will directly support patient care and experience. About the Role As an Outpatient Appointments Administrator, you\’ll play a key role in managing the booking process across our East London & Essex Hub. You\’ll ensure a smooth and efficient patient administration service, delivering exceptional customer service to patients, consultants, NHS partners, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Manage bookings for in-patient and day case appointments using systems such as SAP and RIS. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Spire and insurer policies to support accurate bookings and billing. Liaise with pre-authorisation teams and insurers to confirm funding prior to patient admission. Handle patient and consultant enquiries professionally and promptly, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Maintain electronic and manual filing systems with precision. Provide guidance on medical coding to ensure compliance with insurer guidelines. Prepare and process admission letters and related documentation. Collaborate with patients, consultants, and clinical teams to accommodate special requirements. Ensure all patient information is handled in line with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.Who we\’re looking for Previous experience in administration and/or customer service. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines confidently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, consultants, patients, and secretaries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work under pressure with strong analytical and numerical skills.Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday (shifts between 8am and 7pm) including occasional Saturdays (8am-4pm) Please ensure you are able to commit to the above before applying.
