Ophthalmology Diagnostic Technician | Spire Shawfair Park, Edinburgh | 12 month Fixed Term Contract Spire Shawfair Park Hospital in Edinburgh has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmology Diagnostic Technician to join their experienced and dynamic team, on a 12 month fixed term contract. Duties and responsibilities β Deliver and maintain high professional standards of ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic services to patients by performing, verifying and recording results of a specialist clinical diagnostic imaging service β Responsible for the safe use of specialist equipment and adhere to the health and safety policies β Maintain patient confidentiality at all times β Ensure environment and equipment is clean, fit for purpose and ready to use Who we are looking for β The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an ophthalmic clinical setting β Previous ophthalmic diagnostic experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided, a keen desire to learn is required β Ability to work independently and within the time constraints of a busy clinic to ensure optimal patient flow β Excellent verbal and communication skills and be able to pay close attention to detail β Be comfortable with Microsoft office and computerised systems for data input and review β A passion for customer service Benefits We offer employees a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to: β 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays β Employer and employee contributory pension with flexible retirement options β \βSpire for you\β reward platform β discount and cashback for over 1000 retailers β Private medical insurance β Life assurance β Health Assessment β Employee Assistance Programme β Free DBS β Free Car park We commit to our employee\βs well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
