Spire Norwich Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Radiology Assistant to join our Imaging Department on a permanent full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant looking to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic diagnostic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Radiology Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey, working closely with our Radiographers and Specialist Radiographers to deliver an outstanding patient experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting patients undergoing a range of imaging investigations.
  • Assisting with patient care, observation and monitoring throughout their visit.
  • Identifying and escalating any significant changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Assisting with the safe movement and positioning of patients in line with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Preparing clinical areas and ensuring equipment and rooms are maintained to a high standard.
  • Maintaining accurate records and adhering to departmental and hospital policies.
  • Delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or equivalent within a clinical or acute healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A flexible and professional approach to work.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a health-related subject.

Working Hours

Permanent Contract Full-time 37.5 Hours per week including rotational weekends. Working hours will be discussed at interview and will be based on departmental requirements, with shifts typically worked between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
