Spire Methley Park Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Administrator to join their ward team on a bank/occasional basis. Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. At Spire Methley Park Hospital caring for our patients is at the heart of what we do. We provide expert medical care in our modern, well-equipped hospital for all of our patients.

Contract type: Bank/Zero hours

Working hours: shifts available across Mon-Sun between 8 am and 7 pm

As Ward Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.

Duties and responsibilities (not limited):

  • To greet and provide a customer focused, professional and effective service that exceeds expectations to all Patients, Consultants, and Visitors to the hospital.
  • To deal with all telephone enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • To inform insurance companies if extended length of stay is required.
  • To keep insurance companies informed of emergency admissions.
  • To be aware of discharge dates and times and ensure that the relevant departments, i.e. Reception and Catering are informed when patient is leaving.
  • Appointments given on discharge for treatment room and follow up.
  • To liaise with Ward Staff regarding ordering.
  • Ensure that patient notes are up to date and in correct order and are taken to the appropriate place when a patient episode is complete.
  • Ensure that all filing of results and other information is accurately filed in the patient's notes.
